Facilities

Our laboratory is proud to introduce the Syracuse University Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Core Facility. This facility, newly established in January 2014 and housed within the department of biomedical and chemical engineering is newly renovated, fully operational, and is currently accepting a variety of samples for analysis.

Flow cytometry in the facility is supported by the BDAccuri C6 flow cytometer (a 2 laser, 4 color analyzer).

Cell sorting in the facility is supported by the BDFACSAria II cell sorter (a 4 laser, 13 color machine).

Both instruments are new and capable of processing a variety of samples up to and including those designated biosafety level II.

Flow cytometry and cell sorting is facilitated by a full-time, dedicated operator available 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday.
